Chester Bennington – Linkin Park

Woke up to terrible news this morning..I may not be related to Chester Bennignton but news like this does leave you sad and makes you ponder over the realities of life.

We listen to music, we watch celebrities perform, we pass judgements and leave comments never knowing how they must affect them..how we don’t see their struggles but only care about the music they bring us… we have no idea about what goes on in their lives and their minds..we don’t care about how much of an effort must go into that one song they want at the top of the billboard so that they can feed their families, pay their children’s college fee or foot the hospital bills for someone they love… we are a selfish lot..we don’t care about others.. we particularly ignore people who need love and support, who are fighting their own battles within..they are suffering from an illness invisible to the human eye… we ignore what we can’t see at times…we do more damage then we take responsibility for…

This year has seen too many tragedies..this year has been a year of heartbreak so far…
Chester Bennington has been a huge part of my teen years like many of you out there..I always had Linkin Park on my playlist with a few being favorites like

There are many others as well of course. Linkin Park will always be a great band. Chester will always be remembered. Its a known fact that he struggled with drugs and alcohol for years which is terrible, and its worse that he was abused as a child. How as a society we ignore the fact that people need help and tremendous support to overcome any kind of abuse. Mental and emotional abuse is as bad as physical abuse. Its about time these issues are properly addressed. My heart goes out to his 2 wives Samantha Olit ,Talinda Ann Bentley   and children. Sigh!

May his soul rest in peace.
