Skin is not something to be tempered with and proper skincare products can make a huge difference to your skin for years to come. Speaking of which, let me tell you about an extremely beneficial, amazing Skin Replenisher that I came across about 3 months ago and I have been religiously using it since then. I have to say that I’m a happy, satisfied customer who has seen change in my skin texture and appearance.
Forever Alpha E Factor is truly an amazing product. Its a power pack of antioxidants. Using it before going to bed at night would do wonders for your skin. It nourishes and soothes the skin leaving it smooth and hydrated. I noticed a difference after only 3 days to be honest. I am in love with it!
Cleanse your skin thoroughly before applying it to get rid off any makeup or impurities. Leave it on through the night to work its magic. You will notice smoother skin in the morning. It also works great on dry, chapped lips, much better than most lip balms. Try applying a drop 15 to 20 minutes before lipstick and you will see a smoother application.
For those of you who are in family way and are concerned about stretch marks should definitely give it a try as it reduces the appearances of stretch marks and gives you a younger looking skin. It’s a must have ladies!
If you have dry skin, you can use it as a primer oil. I have used it as a primer oil on many occasions even though I have combination skin and it gave my makeup a smooth finish so I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
It comes in a pretty little bottle and of course we love that about products too, don’t we 😉 Thumbs up to this one!

What is fashion?
We asked people and this is what they had to say about it…
Natasha Zafar: Anything that makes u feel yourself.
Mehr Ispahani: Fashion is a prevailing style, especially in clothing, hair, makeup, footwear, followed by people and that becomes a fashion statement.
Saba Esam Khattak: Fashion is not always outwards. For me, it has always been how I feel about something on the inside, in sync or not with how I am. Following trends is fun, but nothing beats the feeling when you carry something that defines your personality. You walk an inch taller, you play your smile, you let the wind catch the breeze, you enjoy the sun cast shadows on your face. To some, you still might not LOOK beautiful but you wouldn’t neither mind nor care because you FEEL beautiful. And THAT makes all the difference. Fashion says: Me too, style says: ONLY me!!
Zeynab Zafar Ahmed: Fashion is an expression of self, It’s an art. One that can be perceived in various ways and only those who truly understand the language of Fashion, can really appreciate its various forms.
Maha Usman: For me fashion is any trend that makes me comfortable in my skin; something that gives more meaning to my personality.
Ummara Akhter: Fashion is all about feeling amazing by different looks and acceptance in society.
Duria Ali: Fashion is something that’s comfortable and trendy at the same time.
Roger Frances: Fashion is your personality translated into your wardrobe
Taghreed Wasim: For me fashion is what i look good in, i wont follow a trend just because its THE thing, i will follow it only if I feel it looks good on me !
Mary Imran: It’s the ongoing trend with the present time ..but for me everything I see is not fashion ..everything that suits me is fashion. .
Iyla Hussain: Fashion is an expression of self.
Zeeshan Arif: Fashion is everything…that makes u look different…classy…provided you know well how to carry yourself and you yourself are confident that this makes you look great. I would say…everybody who is experimental these days is called fashionable…but one has to consider that decency should be there…ALWAYS!!!
Uruba Khan: Fashion is expressing your mood and culture through clothing. It can be day to day clothing or special occasions but it tends to reflect your personality and mood.
Maha Dania Qazi: Fashion is a seven letter word like the days of the week. Like each day is different, fashion may be diverse in different parts of the world. Fashion can also be unifying in terms of bringing together people following a common trend. Fashion is fun, frivolous and meaningful. It’s not any one thing.
Fashion is what you are offered four times a year, Style is what you pick out of that fashion, It’s what you make of it once you’ve learned what to accept and ignore based on what looks good on you.
Fashion is part of our daily lives. Its an ever evolving way of expressing who you are and how you feel today. Even people who claim not to follow any trend, wake up each morning and pick clothes they want to wear according to where they are going, who they are going to meet, what defines or suits them. Its’s always there! The clothes, accessories, shoes, bags etc that hit the market are according to the latest trends of course and we all buy them.
Speaking of fashion, we are bringing on board someone who certainly knows her way around it. She is like a breath of fresh air straight from the stunning valley of Hunza. She has a versatile sense of fashion, is an educationist by profession, plays football, sings, dances, is fond of dogs and polo matches, loves shopping, a big foodie, has a contagious smile, and of course who can deny the warmth of her chirpy personality. She is a fashionista in its true sense and she will be speaking ‘fashion’!
We welcome Farwa Hussain to our Wings & Strokes family! She will be writing about what’s hot, what’s not..style, colors, trends, do’s and don’ts and alot more.
Keep visiting to know about all that the fashion world has to offer.

Every woman needs a good mascara for sure. In this world of wearing falsies, having naturally long lashes seems a blessing indeed. So for me choosing the right one is very important. Having tried many mascara’s over the years, I only stick to one.
DMGM MAGNUM eyes collagen boost mascara is AH-mazing! Ever since i have been using this one, I have never felt the need to even try another one. This suits me perfectly as it clearly enhances my long lashes making them appear even longer..Bolder, blacker, darker are three words best suited to this one.
Okay let’s list down what this one has to offer:
The consistency of the product is thick having dark black color with matte finish. Because of its thick texture you need to remove extra product in tube before applying it on to avoid clumps but this is the same reason it provides quite a good volume to lashes. It really is smudge proof and will not smudge unless you rub your eyes very harshly.
Even though this product has been around for a while now but its definitely worth a review as many of us spend on high end mascara’s but end up with average results.
So ladies! This one is light on the pocket and gives better results than most mascara’s in the market.
Wings & Strokes rating: 4.8 /5 *thumbs up*

Hey you gorgeous ladies! Dark circles are every woman’s worst nightmare. We are always looking for ways to minimize their appearance which means we are willing to try all kinda home remedies which work on some and don’t make any difference at all on some women leaving them disappointed. There are a gazillion concealers out there in the market and having tried many i somehow stick to the one and only Maybelline Age rewind. It is a very good concealer. It lightens and brightens areas that need concealing and brightening. The best part is that it’s light on the pocket.. It doesn’t last all day and needs another application after a few hours but its still worth it. I’d suggest use it with a good primer and you are good to go!
I would give it 3.5 out of 5
Let me know what you think.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, we say in present times it lies in the hands of a make up artist! Make up is an art indeed! If done the right way it can do wonders to help enhance your features and boost your self confidence. It’s not just about what you put on your face but how you put it is what makes all the difference. Skill, Technique, Application!
Meet Aleen Rehman, an exceptionally talented makeup artist from the capital of Pakistan. She talks to Wings & Strokes about her journey and passion for makeup, has some beneficial tips for summer make up, and offers great advice to the upcoming talent.
W&S: Tell us about yourself
Ms.Aleen: I am a beauty blogger/makeup artist. I love fashion and shopping. Beyond that, I adore my little dog who always brightens my mornings by waking me up. Lastly, I enjoy traveling and hope to visit Turkey in the near future.
W&S: Where is home?
Ms.Aleen: Islamabad, Pakistan
W&S: What inspired you to be a makeup artist?
Ms.Aleen: I got inspired by a lot of makeup artists around the world. Especially by seeing their makeup videos on Youtube. The list is endless but my original inspiration was Pixiwoo
W&S: What do you specialize in?
Ms.Aleen: Makeup and hairdos
W&S: Who are some people that have inspired you throughout your journey?
Ms.Aleen: My husband is the one who has inspired me the most. He has always been very supportive and helped me achieve my goals. He has inspired me to do more with my life, to follow my dreams and to be passionate about things that I never planned on doing on my own.
W&S: How long have you been a makeup artist and how did you get your start in the industry?
Ms.Aleen: Its just been over a year, and I started on a very small scale, trying and testing on my family members. They enjoyed being pampered and I enjoyed pampering. In hindsight, it worked out well.
W&S: What do you love most about make up?
Ms.Aleen: Makeup is so much fun to play and experiment with. I love how many colors, combinations and textures there are. And who wouldn’t want to experiment with their look and different colors? One day you are Maleficent and the other you are Harley Quinn. All it takes is your imagination and you can use it to do lots of amazing stuff.
W&S: If you weren’t a makeup artist, what else would you do?
Ms.Aleen: Definitely become fashion designer, given my love for clothes, dressing up and being obsessed with reading fashion catalogs.
W&S: A website or blog you often visit, or a magazine you swear by?
Ms.Aleen: Harper’s bazaar – its an American fashion magazine.
W&S: How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style that sets you apart from other makeup artists?
Ms.Aleen: My signature look is pretty simple. Winged liner, mascara, some peachy or pink lipstick.
W&S: Did you have any formal makeup training?
W&S: What is your daily routine as a freelance makeup artist?
Ms.Aleen: Well, I wake up early-ish(thanks to my dog), view my makeup blog and then head towards breakfast. During the day time I usually read on-line articles on makeup and tend to follow up by viewing Youtube videos on the same. If I am motivated enough, I will most likely set up my dressing table and practice a certain makeup style just for the heck of it. Its good for the mind and keeps me sufficiently occupied. My evenings are usually fun TV sessions with my husband. We watch a lot of shows together and just chill.
W&S: Summer is here and we know the challenges women have to face to make their make up last longer, what would you advice?
Ms.Aleen:I would suggest everyone to use oil-free foundations and stick to SPF. Set the makeup with a translucent powder or makeup setting sprays. And try to use waterproof eyeliner and mascara.
W&S: Today’s woman is busier than ever. What is the easiest/quickest way to turn a day/work look into something that works for night out?
Ms.Aleen: Well if I had to turn my day look into night I would apply bronzer on the hollows of my cheek, apply a bright lipstick and some highlighter on the high points of my face and I’m good to go.
W&S: What three makeup item should no woman leave home without?
Ms.Aleen: Mascara, lipstick , concealer.
W&S: How important is it today to diversify, to work with multiple clients, or do you work solely for yourself?
Ms.Aleen: Diversity in today’s world has become essential. If you think you are good at something, you should pursue it. Sometimes people shy away from their true-calling and often pursue a lifestyle for the sake of it. However, in my opinion, keeping your options open and diversifying is key in achieving your goal. The more you test, the faster you learn about yourself.
W&S: What brushes do you work with?
Ms.Aleen: Real technique and Mac
W&S: Your favorite song of all time?
Ms.Aleen: Head is a Jungle by Emma Louise
W&S: Your favorite movie of all time?
Ms.Aleen: The Other Woman. Its hilarious
W&S: Photographers that you like to work with?
Ms.Aleen: Its my dream to work with Sebastian Kim. His work can be found in Harper’s Bazaar, muse and many others.
W&S: What’s your take on selfies?
Ms.Aleen: I have never been into selfies but sometimes I have to take them for by blog.
W&S: What do you think is vastly overrated?
Ms.Aleen: The city of Bangkok.
W&S: If we took a peek in your makeup kit what would we see?
Ms.Aleen: A lot of stuff, especially a concealer, mascara, lipstick and setting powder. My kit is incomplete without these essentials.
W&S: How do you keep up with all the new trends and styles? How do you incorporate them into your makeup repertoire?
Ms.Aleen: Its pretty overwhelming, because trends change in a blink of an eye. So to know what’s ‘hot’ and what’s not I follow online fashion, beauty magazines, Youtube tutorials and makeup blogs. They have got almost everything one needs to know about styling trends, fashion and makeup.
W&S: What is that one thing you wish you had designed?
Ms.Aleen: I designed my wedding dress so no regrets on this front.
W&S: How often do you clean your makeup tools such as brushes and combs? How does it affect the wear and tear of your tools and how do you feel about the associated expense?
Ms.Aleen: Cleaning your makeup brushes is actually a really important process you shouldn’t skip for the sake of your skin. And I wash them at least once a week. In order to prolong the life of the brushes, we need to take care of them and it really depends on how you are storing and/or cleaning them.
W&S: Any particular assignment you would have wanted to take up?
Ms.Aleen: Not one that I can think of to be honest.
W&S: What have you learned from your journey?
Ms.Aleen: Life isn’t perfect; nor do always get what you want. Regardless, pursuing your passion to the extent that it becomes the thing you enjoy the most is the type of happiness one ought to experience. Put simply, you only live once, might as well make the most of it.
W&S: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Ms.Aleen: I believe its more important to focus on making the present count than spending too much time fretting about the future. Making my mark now will most likely determine my future.
W&S: Tell us about your upcoming projects/work?
Ms.Aleen: Upcoming work includes learning many more makeup techniques and showing my followers the best way to master them. The great thing about makeup is that you can be creative and your upcoming work is always spontaneous and can be anything which people don’t usually do. With regards to projects, I hope that I establish myself to the point where I run a cosy salon. Fingers crossed!
W&S: Final words of inspiration for upcoming talent?
Ms.Aleen: Like I’ve been saying, pursue your passion and don’t let random indicators deflect your talent. Never shy away from what you fear. Practice makes perfect so if you think you are good at a particular thing, don’t’ think twice, just go for it!
